No Kings Day
Join your Becket/Washington Friends and Neighbors Saturday(tomorrow) the 18th of October at 2:30 PM in the Pittsfield Common. Look for our banner and march with us! Wear yellow if you have it, bring American Flags, Kazoos or small musical instrument, know your rights cards to hand out, and inflatables if you have something for example the "Portland frog."
In June, over 5 million people turned out nationwide to send the message that America has no kings, no thrones, and no crowns. Tomorrow October 18th millions will gather again in non-violent expression of their concerns about the assaults on immigrants, the trampling of individual rights & free speech, the attacks on the courts and the justice system, and the ongoing erosion of our democracy.
America has No Kings and the power-as the opening phrase of our Constitution makes clear-belongs to We the people. Join with the members of your community and stand up together.
